Well, I've had male goats that got aggressive. I ate them.
I've been in places where male goats were aggressive, but I couldn't eat them. You can use the old "hit 'em with a 2x4" strategy, but honestly, it doesn't work permanently. The darn things are built like brick shit houses and they can accept damage at a rate that initially can exceed your ability to deliver it.
Sweep the legs (might break 'em, but oh well) and then kneel on their necks. Once off their feet, they are fundamentally weak and keeping them down until they settle is goat for "I've lost". That'll last 6 months on a normal male and then might have to be repeated. (Note the nuts on this guy. They are *much* bigger than yours. So they kinda tend to erase the brain every 6 months or so.)
I have had friendly male goats that didn't want to butt me. It's a selection problem, nothing else. Anyone that raises an animal and doesn't accept that they are part of the selection process is not paying attention to why nature works.
